Author & Illustrator: Jerry Pinkney

Breathtaking and Brilliant are two words that I use to describe the work
of Jerry Pinkney.

I have been researching the life and work of illustrator, Jerry Pinkney. He is a wonderful illustrator. His attention to detail, depiction of movement, and use of transparent layered color often leaves me speechless. He is one of my favorite illustrators! Two of my favorite books that he has illustrated are one of his Caldecott Honor books, Noah's Ark and his Caldecott Winning book, The Lion & the Mouse.

    You will love this website. I recently read, God Bless the Child with CD of original song sung by Billie Holiday. It brought tears to my eyes. Wonderful.

    I enjoyed watching the first link about Jerry Pinkey. His illustrations are very beautiful. In the future, I would like to read more of his books.
